Seewigtal - the valley of mountain lakes

The idyllic Seewigtal valley is characterized by clear mountain lakes and rocky landscapes: the Steirischer Bodensee, Hüttensee, Obersee, Filzsee and Grubersee lakes can be found inside the valley - the valley is drained by the Seewigtalbach stream, which flows through the striking Teufelsschlucht gorge.

Highlights in the Seewigtal valley:

  • the Steirischer Bodensee is a true natural gem and is a destination for young and old.
  • Furthermore, impressive high alpine hikes such as the 3-lake tour or the ascent to the Hochwildstelle start from here.
  • At the Forellenhof , you can enjoy fresh trout dishes straight from the clear mountain water - and then glide across the idyllic lake in a rowing boat.
