Between peaks and moments of pleasure - discover the Preunegg Valley
The Preuneggtal is an idyllic side valley of the Schladminger Tauern, which lies south of Pichl im Ennstal and stretches around nine kilometers to the south. It begins at around 800 meters above sea level and leads through an impressive mountain landscape, which is characterized by steeply rising slopes in the upper section and gentler forms in the lower section. The Ursprungbach stream flows through the valley, which later turns into the Preuneggbach. A special feature is the Ursprungalm toll road, which leads into the valley from the Strickbrücke bridge and provides easy access to the popular Ursprungalm.
Highlights in the Preuneggtal valley:
- The Ursprungalm is nestled in the idyllic high valley of the Preuneggtal, surrounded by gentle alpine meadows and clear mountain streams.
- High above the Preuneggtal valley are the Giglachseen lakes, two crystal-clear mountain lakes in the middle of a spectacular high mountain landscape.
- The valley station of the Preunegg Jet is located directly in the Preuneggtal valley and takes you up to the Reiteralm in just a few minutes.
