Öblarner Kupferweg
The Öblarn Copper Trail takes you on an exciting journey through over 500 years of mining history in the Walchental valley. Along the trail, you will learn more about the once important copper and sulphur pyrite mining as well as the social development of the village of Öblarn, which is closely linked to mining.

Hike to the Hangofen
The hike to the Hangofen (2,056 m) starts at the ÖAV mountain lodge and leads via the Englitzalm through the upper Englitztal valley to a summit with great views. The last section is steep and narrow, but rewards you with an impressive panoramic view over the Schladminger Tauern.
Note: The ascent to the summit is narrow and exposed in places, to the north the Hangofen drops almost vertically - surefootedness and a head for heights are essential.

The Augelände in Öblarn is an idyllic retreat for anyone looking for peace and relaxation in nature.

The Walchental valley is located in the district of Liezen in Styria, south of the village of Öblarn in the Schladming-Dachstein region, and is easily accessible via Öblarn. From the B320 Ennstal federal highway, a well-signposted road leads from the center of Öblarn into the valley.
