Upgrade Jack Lumber Trail
New challenge for technology fans
There are two exciting new features on the Jack Lumber Trail this bike season : together with Planai World Cup rider Andi Kolb, the existing trail has been extendedby 440 meters. Andi was involved from the initial idea to the first test runs. The Planai Shaper Team skillfully implemented his professional input.
The Jack Lumber Trail is not a classic downhill trail, but a technically challenging single trail. The starting point has been relocated and now begins directly at the Stadium Flowline.
Trail description
The trail remains true to its character: technical singletrail passages with rutted roots, steep sections and rock drops of over one meter challenge even experienced riders. With the new sections, the trail remains just as challenging as before.
Those who love the Jack Lumber will now also love the two new Jack Lumber sections in the upper mountain area, which have been integrated into the Rookie and Pro Downhill routes:
- Rookie Downhill: 110 meters of Jack Lumber character
- Pro Downhill : 240 meters of Jack Lumber character
Both sections expand the offer for those looking for more technical challenges and provide even more variety and combination options.
Finish area with action-packed innovations
This year, the Finish Area is starting the 2025 bike season with a fresh look: the three-part final section has been optimized and is therefore more varied, further increasing the fun on the last few metres:
- Flowline finish (blue): The easy section with gentle waves remains and ensures a relaxed finish to the descent.
- Downtown Line (red): New jumps provide more dynamics and an extra dose of action right before the finish.
- World Cup Downhill (black): Even bigger jumps guarantee a spectacular finale with maximum airtime.
New bridge overpass with viewing platform
Just in time for the start of the new bike park season, a new bike bridge is being built that will cross the main road and connect the Stadium Flowline, Kessler Line and Worldcup Downhill routes with their own rides. A viewing platform with spectacular views of the Dachstein massif, the Planai cable car and the step-up jump will also be built on the bridge . A perfect spot for photos and action shots!
- Good news for all riders: all trails will remain fully accessible during the construction work!
