"The Mountain Rescuers" - The episodes & their locations Season 16 | Episode 4
It has now turned white in Ramsau am Dachstein and the last two winter episodes of the 16th season of the series "Die Bergretter" are about to begin. A long-hidden truth comes to light in episode 4. In this blog, you can find out exactly what happens and where filming took place:
At his grandmother's deathbed on a remote mountain farm, Freddy Segelbacher learns that it was not him but his brother Kilian who was to blame for a car accident that resulted in his death, for which Freddy has been in prison for three years. This truth shakes him. He flees on skis and enters avalanche-prone terrain. Kilian follows him and falls. And so another tragedy takes its course involving the siblings...
Meanwhile, Katharina and Tobias have a discussion. In order to receive her share of the inheritance, the doctor suggests that her brother sell their father's hotel. With the help of estate agent Lukas, she shows him options for a new path.
Alex and Markus, on the other hand, go their separate ways. At least for the time being...
Markus and his team are able to find Kilian and take him to hospital injured. In the meantime, however, the next dramatic events are already unfolding. Freddy makes his way to the love of his life, Laura, who is about to get married. Freddy's stories about what happened back then turn her life completely upside down and she calls off the wedding. The two meet at a small hut on the mountain. But apart from Kilian, nobody seems to know exactly where it is.
Fearing that his secret will be revealed for good, Kilian escapes from the hospital and makes his way to the cabin. There is another argument between the brothers and Freddy collapses on a frozen lake. While trying to save him, Kilian also collapses in the ice. At the last second, the siblings are pulled out of the water by the mountain rescue team. The 4th episode ends with this exciting mission. How did you like it?
The mountain rescue headquarters
In this episode, the headquarters in Ramsau am Dachstein was once again the setting for many different scenes. Incidentally, this room is used exclusively for filming purposes. The headquarters of the real mountain rescue service is stationed in a different building.
