What happened in this episode...
Silvia wants to fulfill her deceased husband's last wish and scatter his ashes over the mountains during a balloon flight. However, she and her daughter get into an argument and the urn falls into the depths. Silvia wants to retrieve them. However, as no one is allowed to find out about the unauthorized air burial, she asks her friends Tanja and Benno Rahner for help. What the trio don't know is that Markus has found the urn while securing the restricted area and returned it to Silvia's daughter, who initiates the search. At his wife's insistence, Benno finally agrees to the project. During the search, they enter a restricted area and come across a blast.
In addition, the differences of opinion between Katharina and Tobias regarding her inheritance and the continuation of the hotel come to a head. And Markus and Alex's relationship is not always rosy either. With the help of Michi, Markus tries to make up for his failed date, but this also fails. Meanwhile, Katherina has taken a liking to her estate agent Lukas Schlosser...
When Tanja receives no more signs of life from the two missing persons, she also sets off, which further exacerbates the situation. An argument breaks out between the trio and Tanja falls. While trying to reach the valley via an old material ropeway and get help, she herself is in mortal danger. Halfway down, the rotten slats break and Silvia hangs over the abyss. She is rescued by Markus at the last second.

The Dachstein south face hut
It was the track at the Südwandhütte. A location that has been featured more often in the series in recent years. From the parking lot at the gondola lift, you can reach the hut in around 45 minutes. You hike along the mighty Dachstein south face, which also gives the hut its name. The Südwandhütte, at the foot of the Dachstein south face, was built in 1924 and offers you a fantastic view of the Dachstein and the surrounding Tauern mountains. The hut is also the starting point for all hiking and climbing tours in the Dachstein region.
Did you know that the father of one of the three hut landlords is also the owner of the Pernerhof, the filming location for Emilie's Hof?
Tour tip: "Dachstein Sun Tour"
There were some spectacular scenes at the foot of the Dachstein in this episode, and they literally crossed borders. Can you remember the mountain sequence in which Tobi and Katharina discussed the inheritance issue? Here, the hiking trail near the Hopfpürglhütte, which is already on Salzburg soil, served as the filming location. You can start your 3-day hike along the Dachstein massif from here. So you too can become a "border crosser".
From the Hofalmen in Filzmoos, the trail leads you through the "gate" to the day's destination of stage 1 with an overnight stay at the Dachstein Südwandhütte. At the start of stage 2, you take the panoramic gondola up to the Dachstein glacier and from there across snow and scree fields to the Guttenberghaus. Stage 3 finally takes you past the impressive Silberkarsee lake and through the Silberkarklamm gorge back to Ramsau am Dachstein. Would you like to find out more about this long-distance hiking tour?
