Styrian spring in Vienna

From March 26 to 30, the Schladming-Dachstein tourism region was once again represented at the Styrian Spring at Vienna's Rathausplatz together with Styria Tourism and other adventure regions with a diverse and enjoyable offer. As an important stage for Styrian joie de vivre in Vienna, the event attracted around 190,000 visitors this year - with a varied program and over 1,450 participants. A special highlight this year: the traditional Schladming beer was once again served as part of the event, freshly tapped and served in the popular Schladming-Dachstein Alm. The symbolic beer tapping took place directly on site on the opening day - in the presence of representatives of the region and numerous guests.

The region presented itself with a varied program throughout the duration of the event. In the Schladming-Dachstein Alm, the gourmet innkeepers provided culinary highlights and warm Ennstal hospitality. The offer was complemented by dishes from the successful "Schladming-Dachstein Almkulinarik by Richard Rauch" project. Celebrity chef Richard Rauch himself was on site and, together with Lydia and Jürgen from the Sattelberghütte, conjured up a special Alpine cuisine creation for the guests. The Pürcherhof Mitterberg and the doughnut hut of the Öblarn rural youth also contributed to the culinary diversity of the Schladming-Dachstein presentation with regional delicacies. The new 10-seater gondola lift on the Hauser Kaibling, which will go into operation in winter 2025/26, was also on display at the event.

Musical and traditional contributions were provided by the Aich-Assach Music Association, the Plattler group d'Hahnlstoana Kleinsölk, the Sogschoatn Musi and the Strubbis. The Dachstein Highnesses Anna Gugganig, Chiara Huber and Sabine Bliem were also on hand to represent the region. On Sunday, the newly elected Kasprinzesses Conny and Carina Seebacher were also welcomed.

Since 2018, the Styrian Spring has been awarded the Austrian Ecolabel for Green Events and the aim is to achieve this again in 2026.
