The first steps into the trail running adventure
Running & Easy Trails
These routes are ideal for getting started. Simple and short running routes on asphalt, forest and gravel roads await you on running routes. Like here, for example, on the large panoramic running circuit, which takes you 14 km right across Schladming. The Rohrmoos running circuit, for example, offers a combination of running and trail running routes, leading through meadows and forests and offering wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. It is one of the easy trails that lead you slightly uphill and downhill over various surfaces.

Medium trails
Those who prefer something a little more challenging will find what they are looking for on routes such as the Freienstein Sprintrail, the Klamm Trail or the Hochwurzen Trail. On these tours, you are partly in alpine terrain and have to cover a few meters in altitude. You can find more information on the length and intensity of the trail running routes here.
The Torlauf Dachstein is also a spectacular challenge for all racing enthusiasts. The marathon distance (42 km) will really get your pulse racing. In addition to trails along a breathtaking landscape at the foot of the Dachstein, a via ferrata passage awaits you on this route.
If that's a step too steep for you, you can also take part in the half marathon, the 10 km lap or the relay race at this legendary running event. This year, the starting shot will be fired on 07.09. You can find more information here.
Two local top athletes, Carina Schrempf and Tamara Steiner, were also out and about along the Schladminger-Tauern Trail for the filming of the program "Bergwelten". This can be seen on ServusTV on April 22nd. In addition to impressive nature shots from the region, you will also get an insight into how the athletes use their home for training purposes and recharge their batteries at the same time.
You can find out more impressions about mountain sports in the region in the "Bergwelten" program from 22.04.2024 on Servus TV.
