Enjoyable TV week with our hut hosts
from May 19 on ORF 2 & ORF ON
When alpine enjoyment meets top cuisine, the TV kitchen doesn't just chop, it also serves up tasty dishes: from 19 to 23 May 2025, the popular ORF show "Silvia kocht" will be all about our Schladming-Dachstein region - and above all about the people who make our huts so special.
Together with award-winning chef Richard Rauch, four of our hut hosts present their favorite recipes - from hearty to refined, from alpine-inspired to summery fresh. Whether it's crispy cheese dumplings, spicy fennel salad or sweet Powidltascherl - the whole culinary diversity of our mountains is on TV here.
Friday: Out and about in the region
2:00 pm
On Friday, May 23, presenter Silvia Schneider takes viewers on an enjoyable journey of discovery through Schladming-Dachstein. Together with hiking guide Hubert Pleninger, she explores the tree horoscope trail in Gröbming, where trees tell personality stories.
The culinary journey continues to the Gröbminger Alm, where hut host Stefano Erhart cooks up a feast: braised beef cheeks with bacon lentils are on the program. Afterwards, the trail leads high up - at 1,250 m above sea level to the Percht family farm , which is passionately dedicated to sheep farming and herbal knowledge. There, Andrea Percht reveals the secret of her daisy syrup - a fragrant freshness kick for hot summer days.
Finally, Gröbming offers another culinary highlight: strawberry and asparagus salad with tender lamb - a creation that brings spring and summer together on the plate.
