Via Ferrata Franz
Tour description
In addition to the practice via ferratas, the Franz via ferrata on the Stoderzinken is an attractive, well-designed, enjoyable via ferrata of considerable length. At around 300 metres in length, it is one of the longer via ferratas and offers a varied climb of medium difficulty. The via ferrata was named after Franz Seebacher, who, alongside Julius Steiner, was instrumental in the construction of the road and lift on the Stoderzinken.
The practice via ferratas Karl, Julius, Emil and David can be easily combined with the Franz or Peter via ferrata in the form of a warm-up via ferrata round.

The tour

Approach:Pass the Steinerhaus, follow the gravel road downhill to the Stoderhütte and follow the signposted path to the Friedenskircherl on the right. The entrance is approx. 30 metres after the Friedenskircherl by the sign on the right.
Descent:From the exit, walk uphill to the signposted Stoderzinken hiking trail. From here, descend to the car park or continue to the Stoderzinken summit with a 15-minute walk.
Via ferrata is a demanding sport in the midst of beautiful, rough nature. Please note some rules for your safety:
1. via ferrata tours are exhausting and require stamina, a head for heights and sure-footedness.2. Always use a via ferrata set and a helmet and hang them on the safety rope. Many mountain rescue operations are due to carelessness and bad weather.3 Many tours are all-day tours. Always include the possibility of a weather change in your daily planning. Pay particular attention to clothing and provisions.4. Always behave considerately. Respect other climbers and inform them about dangers.5. Be careful with nature!
