The cabin starts on the ground floor with a cozy living room featuring a kitchen, dining area, and a tiled stove, a bathroom with shower and sauna, a separate toilet, an entrance area with foyer and storage room. On the upper floor, there are three bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, and a separate toilet. A south-facing balcony with a view over the Ennstal, the lower Tauern, and even up to the Großglockner completes the feel-good experience.
The wooden cabin rooms are mostly furnished with spruce wood. Additionally, there is a sofa bed for one person in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator with freezer compartment, electric stove with oven, dishwasher, filter coffee machine, breakfast toaster, microwave, kettle, egg cooker, baking tray, pans, pots, dishes, cutlery, and glasses.
After an eventful holiday day, the sauna offers well-deserved rest and relaxation. Opposite the dining table is the tiled stove. This heats the wooden cabin to pleasant temperatures on cold days. Through the window, you can be inspired by the flames with a good glass of wine.
For entertainment, guests have access to a satellite flat-screen TV with digital TV. In addition, there is Wi-Fi available in the cabin. In the bathrooms and hallway, underfloor heating provides pleasant warmth.
Summer information
The wooden cabin is a scenic idyll in summer. No matter what you do, whether a gentle hike in the alpine area or a climb to the Stoderzinken summit. The market town of Gröbming borders to the north to the federal state of Upper Austria. In the Gröbming holiday region, you have numerous options for excursions. For all these activities, the Schladming Dachstein Summer Card is available to you.
A historical hike through the Notgasse, climbing fun in the adventure park Gröbming, the zip line (the largest zip glide flight facility in the Alps), an excursion to the Dachstein with ice palace and skywalk or golfing at the Dachstein Tauern golf club (18-hole course). A particularly beautiful excursion destination is the Viehbergalm, which you can reach directly from the Stoderzinken or you can start the route on foot or with a mountain bike from Gröbming.
Another highlight in the region is the hike to the Grafenbergsee, a crystal-clear mountain lake located in the middle of the Dachstein mountains at an altitude of 1,600 m. You can find cooling on hot summer days at the Panorama swimming pool Gröbming, at Lake Aich, in the Thermal Spa Bad Mitterndorf (45 minutes by car from the cabin), or in the Thermal Spa Altenmarkt (60 minutes by car). On the private terrace, cozy garden furniture invites you to linger outdoors and sunbathe. In the garden, there is plenty of space for young cabin vacationers to let off steam.
Winter information
The Hauser Kaibling ski area is only 27 kilometers from the wooden cabin and, as one of the top ski areas, with guaranteed parking, it serves as the ideal entry point to the Schladming-Dachstein ski region. The Schladminger 4-Mountains Ski Link connects the four largest Styrian ski mountains: Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen, and Reiteralm. You can experience 123 kilometers of slopes and 44 modern cable cars and lifts during sunny skiing days. You can enjoy culinary delights in numerous managed huts.
Trendy sport snowshoeing on the Stoderzinken
You can hear the crunch with every step under your shoes, and thanks to the snowshoes, you conquer the deep snow in no time ... Have you ever tried a snowshoe hike? Two marked hiking trails lead through the beautiful winter landscape: Trail 1, the summit tour, and Trail 2, the alpine round. Away from skiing and snowboarding fun, you can experience the Schladming-Dachstein region from its most idyllic side.
Winter landscape ski touring
From the accommodation, you can head directly to the Stoderzinken with touring skis and quietly explore the former ski area away from the hustle and bustle. This is also possible at the wooden cabin. The cabin is only a two-minute walk from the old slopes. Thus, nothing stands in the way of an extensive ski tour.
